New “YouTube” for Gamers

Picked up from a Swedish newspaper. At the yearly Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, a Mecca for nerds and technology wiz kids is spreading its concern to the more ordinary player or average Joe. Xbox is one of the companies that introduced some interesting forecasts.

With Xbox Live and their already launched XNA, letting the playful-home developer make and develop their own games. So far this is something that has been awfully strict, supervised and only available to high-tech gamers. But it’s not open to everyone; hence it requires some developing skills. But with this move, making it more into a community, it’s expanding, reaching out to a much broader audience than used to.

Test, judge and help each other with the games you’ve made and be able to produce better material till next time. Apparently this has been highly sought after by one of the toughest and highest demanding crowds to feed in the entire world. They are usually a lot smarter than the regular mate selling the product to them.
