Gathering RSS Feeds

RSS feeds are quite interesting. I guess you all know it, but if not; it allows you to collect all your favourite websites in one place. Like a mailbox. When you expect mail from Rikki, Sandy and Johnny-Boy you don’t go around and hustle them about it. You check your mailbox. Just like the RSS works. You go to one place for all your lollypop sites. You don’t want to be one of those ooooold-school’s (moi) still using Bookmarks, each time you find cool sites, now do you?

Techmec is a cool site. They’ve found a way to profit from RSS feeds. Without actually ‘making’ or inventing anything themselves. The only things they do are gathering and present the latest feeds within the world of technology on their site. There’s no unique content on the site. Everything’s drawn together from other sources. Yet they have managed to reach a page rank of 7. The summary is that they don’t contribute with unique content but a unique mix of content. A unique feed. Considering their ranking, the value of this is cosmic.
