There’s a lot about Google here sometimes, I know. But it’s not my fault that they’re leading – everything: technology, thinking as well as communication and marketing. Just by starting to think about how they’ve build their brand is… amazing. Is amazing a word to use here? Yes.

Here Google introduces their latest member of their always growing family unit; Google Sites.
“Google Sites, a new offering from Google Apps, makes creating a team site as easy as editing a document. Use Google Sites to centralize all types of information -- from videos to presentations -- and share your site with just a few people, your entire organization, or the world.”

Challenging Microsoft’s SharePoint, Google Sites is making it super-easy for visitors to add and edit on their site, it reminds a lot about wiki, and is sort of an offspring from the technique used in JotSpot, whom Google bought in ’06. You can combine tools from Google’s relating services; pictures from Picasa, videoclips from Youtube, document from the office and information from Google Calendar. And while SharePoint costs money and requires instalment and applications to your own computer, Google Sites is free and is fully run through the web and Google’s own servers.
