Disney + Apple

Collaborations is always hot. So it’s time to bring to light the somehow what forgotten partnership between Apple and Disney. Earning Disney fairly $123 million since it started in 2006.

For a money-machine like Walt’s company, with a spoken goal of $1 billion in digital revenue goal from its CEO Bob Iger, it may seem shy. But bear in mind that this is coming from Disney allowing people to buy their content on iTunes. 4 million movies and 50 million videos is the result, give or take a video here and there. This is all incremental revenue with zero cost.

Now blast that with a 30 sec spot on your average everyday TV program. If I was to work anywhere else than ad-industry; Google is my candidate for number one and only brand to join. It knows how to deal its way on this huge expanding platform of marketing. And I’d say Steve Jobs is the guy I’d like to call ‘boss’. We’d be ruling ad-universe together.
