Sprint Nextel fired 1000 customers – lost 1.2 million customers

Here’s a good example of how NOT to treat your customers. One of US largest telecom operators Sprint Nextel fired 1000 of their own customers. It has got some remarkable habits to handle complaint callers. If you call – you’re always forced to call again. That’s routine. And since too many customers had called to complain, they simple got rid of them. With voted nr 1 spot as the worse Customer Service in the US, it might no sound that surprising, but still…!

But this has led to remarkable consequences. In a business with a monthly growth of 1,6 million new subscription. And during the last six months, with consideration of their market share, Sprint Nextel should have got 2,4 million new customers. But instead – they’ve lost 1,2 million clients in the same period.
